Harvest Seasons

Surowiec Farm is located in the rural town of Sanbornton. The farm has been in the Surowiec family since 1917. Originally operated as a dairy farm, the first apple trees were planted in 1971. The farm has continued to expand and diversify ever since.

A spectacular view to the north and west provides an expansive backdrop to the orchard and farmstand. Be sure to bring your camera for a family photo against the brilliant scenery.

Since the farm is open to the public, we ask that pets be left at home due to safety and human health concerns.

School field trips and scenic bus tours are welcome by appointment. Call 286-4069 to make an appointment.

STRAWBERRY HARVEST:

Pick your own strawberry season is in mid-late June to early July. Our strawberry plants are planted in plastic mulched rows on slightly raised beds. The aisles between rows are covered with straw. The plastic and straw provide weed control and a clean picking environment. Bring the family and pick some sweet, juicy strawberries for shortcake, jam, or just to munch on. We guarantee that you cannot eat just one. Containers are provided at no additional cost.

Late June to Early July. When our season begins, we are open 7 days a week, 9am - 5:30pm.

BLUEBERRY HARVEST:

Blueberry season begins in mid July and under optimal conditions will extend until Labor Day, when apple season begins.
