Seasons
Surowiec Farm is located in the rural
town of Sanbornton. The farm has been in the Surowiec family since 1917.
Originally operated as a dairy farm, the first apple trees were planted in
1971. The farm has continued to expand and diversify ever since.
A
spectacular view to the north and west provides an expansive backdrop to the
orchard and farmstand. Be sure to bring your camera for a family photo against
the brilliant scenery.
Since the farm is open to the public, we ask
that pets be left at home due to safety and human health concerns.
School field trips and scenic bus tours are welcome by appointment. Call
286-4069 to make an appointment.

apples, such as Paula Red, Ginger Gold, Macintosh, Cortlands, Empires, and
Macoun. Fall is not complete without the crisp, juicy taste of a fresh picked
New Hampshire apple.

Chrysanthemums, decorative gourds, and pumpkins of all sizes and
shapes flood the farmstand with fall colors. Take home some fresh cider, jams,
maple syrup products, and honey. Decorate your home with colorful bouquets of
dried flowers, corn stalks and hay bales.

STRAWBERRY HARVEST:
Pick your own strawberry season is in mid-late June to early July.
Our strawberry plants are planted in plastic mulched rows on slightly raised
beds. The aisles between rows are covered with straw. The plastic and straw
provide weed control and a clean picking environment. Bring the family and pick
some sweet, juicy strawberries for shortcake, jam, or just to munch on. We
guarantee that you cannot eat just one. Containers are provided at no
additional cost.
Late June to Early July. When our season begins, we
are open 7 days a week, 9am - 5:30pm.
BLUEBERRY HARVEST:
Blueberry
season begins in mid July and under optimal conditions will extend until Labor
Day, when apple season begins. Our bushes are irrigated, high bush cultivars,
which produce large, tasty berries and are convenient for picking. Containers
are provided at no additional cost. Take a break from picking, relax and enjoy
the views and fresh country air.
Mid July through August. Open 7 days a
week, 9am - 5:30pm.
FRESH VEGETABLES:
Surowiec Farm also has fresh vegetables, such as tomatoes,
cucumbers, melons, and sweet corn, which are harvested daily. Selection varies
with the seasons, so come visit often. Crisp, cool salads, sweet buttered corn,
and juicy melons are perfect for those hot summer days and family
barbeques.
Mid July through Fall Harvest. Open 7 days a week, 9am -
5:30pm.

with a selection of jams, maple products, and honey. Be sure to dress
appropriately and bring your camera!
Weekends only in late November and
